Hotel do Mar

Hotel do Mar opened its doors in 2001, part of the familiar company Ciprotur Hotel Group with a unique decoration designed by the architect Vítor Forte, where it is possible to feel the inspiration in art nouveau, Portuguese sidewalks, and the Azorean lighthouses and sea. Here guests can enjoy a seaside location in the charming village of Povoação, which allows walking access to the historic area and the town's tourist and commercial spots.

Less than a 15-minute drive away is the village of Furnas, one of the most attractive tourist spots in the Azores, with its lagoon, charismatic gardens, hot springs and volcanic fumaroles. Also nearby are the Furnas Golf Course, the Pico da Vara mountain range, the Nordeste village, the Ribeira Quente beach and many other tourist attractions, such as hiking trails and waterfalls. 

Being in a quiet village, outside the most populated cities, it becomes the ideal place for a quiet vacation close to nature. It has 36 rooms, an outdoor pool and a jacuzzi next to the bar an esplanade. The hotel has a lookout tower with a panoramic view of the town of Povoação. 

All rooms are spacious, with good natural light, have a balcony and are equipped with air conditioning and WiFi.
